The YWCA Greater Harrisburg is seeking a full-time Housing Stabilization Case Manager. This position is responsible for implementing trauma-informed case management, advocacy, and supportive services and rental assistance for community-based housing participants who are or have been victims of human trafficking or youth at-risk for human trafficking.

- Hours: 37.5 hour work week; Monday-Friday 8am-4pm; some on-call as needed.
- Pay rate $20.51/hr.
- Providing weekly case management services to program participants.
- Developing housing stabilization specific goal plans in collaboration with program participants and monitoring progress.
- Identifying barriers to service provision and housing stabilization and assisting participants with overcoming such barriers.
- Utilizing trauma-informed and victim-centered service approaches
- Provide information and education to program participants to understand the risks of human trafficking and tactics of traffickers.
- Collecting client and service data and entering data timely into case management systems.
- Maintaining accurate and timely case notes and client notes.
- Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with area landlords.
- Support department crisis and shelter services including answering hotline calls, assessing walk-in client needs, providing medical/legal accompaniments, shelter intakes and general shelter support, and other crisis needs as identified.
- Serve as on-call advocate for open shifts and holiday shifts as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- A strong commitment to the YWCA Greater Harrisburg’s mission and values.
- Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, criminal justice or related field and previous experience serving children who have experienced trauma. Associates Degree and at least 3 years professional experience may be substituted.
- Skilled in working with sensitive issues and commitment to respecting the confidentiality of program participants.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Dauphin County resources and social/human service systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member and contribute positively to workplace.
- Demonstrated problem-solving approach to concerns and challenges.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and an ability to demonstrate professionalism and emotional intelligence.
- Multilingual, bi-cultural individuals strongly encouraged to apply.
- Must have reliable, personal transportation for travel throughout Dauphin County, driver’s license, insurance, and clean driver’s history.
- Must be able to provide Child Abuse, State Police, and FBI clearances.
