The YWCA Greater Harrisburg is seeking a full-time Maintenance Team Lead to oversee the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of our facilities and grounds. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring our buildings remain safe, clean, functional, and welcoming for staff, clients, residents, and visitors. The Maintenance Team Lead coordinates preventative maintenance, manages repairs and improvement projects, and helps maintain a secure and well-maintained environment that supports the YWCA’s mission and daily operations.

Position Details: 
  • Hours: 37.5 hour work week; Monday-Friday 8am-4pm; some on-call as needed.
  • Salary: $40,000/yr.
Successful Candidates Will:
  • Monitor repairs and maintenance of building equipment and systems, including but not limited to: HVAC, water, electric, emergency generators, fire alarms, etc.
  • Review facilities to ensure they meet all building codes and standards and securing all facility-related permits, licenses, and inspections.
  • Assist with contractor quotes as directed.
  • Ensure YWCA facilities and equipment provide a quality, safe environment.
  • Complete work orders for routine maintenance and repairs.
  • Coordinate and monitor regular inspections of the facility (including fire alarms, safety equipment, elevators, etc.) to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and compliance checks.
  • Coordinate and conduct landscaping and groundskeeping activities, including lawn care, snow removal, and trash disposal, to ensure that the exterior of the building is well-maintained year-round.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of outdoor equipment and fixtures (e.g., parking lots, signage, lighting).

Position Requirements: 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, property management, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and grounds maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of safety and regulatory compliance standards (OSHA, ADA, fire codes, etc.).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance, and clean driver’s history.
  • Must be able to provide Child Abuse, State Police, and FBI clearances.
